About Me

  1. On December 16, 2018 the artist posted openings for sketch commissions. I contacted him that same day for a spot and began discussions for the picture. With the details agreed upon, I paid the very next day on December 17, 2018 via PayPal. On January 8, 2019 I checked in with the artist and was told that the commission would be finished the next day. Although not complete, the artist sent me a WIP instead around January 15, 2019 that I accidentally deleted from chat while I was trying to save it. The next day, the artist asked for my Twitter, which I believed he wanted to use to tag the completed picture. Two days later, I received notification that he had completed it and would be sending it soon. This would be the last time I would hear back from the artist. I contacted him multiple times via Telegram (our main source of contact), which went unread even though his status continues to be “last seen recently.” I had also sent him an ultimatum via the email account he provided for PayPal, from which I got no response. It has been over a year now and I still have not gotten a response from any of my messages or emails. I even checked his Twitter in an attempt to DM him and noticed he does not have those open to non-mutuals. I unfortunately did attempt a chargeback but PayPay stated it was beyond the acceptable timeframe I’m order to do so. At this point, I have chalked this up as a loss. Thank you for your time.
  2. On February 7, 2019, the artist BlindCoyote sent a public tweet offering a commission opening for one sketch for $50 USD, or $100 USD for flat colors. I publicly responded expressing interest in the opening, to which the both of us went into Twitter Direct Messages (DM) to discuss the details further. Payment was agreed upon, and conducted through Paypal. On May 24, 2019, BlindCoyote sent a work-in-progress sketch through the same Twitter DM channel. Details were discussed and agreed upon. On July 19, 2019, I had some concerns that I wished to ask BlindCoyote. He did not respond. On July 30, 2019, I requested the commission be cancelled. BlindCoyote still did not respond. So on August 4, 2019, an email was sent threatening to take action through a Paypal chargeback if he did not respond. He responded the next day, requesting the Paypal address thru which to send a $75 refund, which was responded to. That was the last time I ever heard from him on the matter. A refund was never issued. Two further emails demanding action on his part were also not returned.
  3. Situation: I ordered a custom suit from Lemonbrat in late 2018. With the understanding that the suit would be paid off 3 months prior to July, as I needed to suit to be finished and shipped in time for Eurofurence (leaving 12 August 2019). The terms of service changed somewhere in Febuary or March when I actually paid off the suit. Initial Deposit: https://images2.imgbox.com/3f/d1/LIZAfgSE_o.jpg Final Payment: https://images2.imgbox.com/89/8c/s9pQ3s2C_o.png Assurances on Finish Time: https://images2.imgbox.com/2a/50/9gHwLCC3_o.png They changed the refund policy from (cost of materials and labour will be taken from refund, and at our descretion) to (no payments are refundable) They changed there creation time from 2-3 months after complete payment, to 3-4 months for people who pay upfront. They also changed the deposit terms. I can't remember what the original percentage was, but it changed to 100% payment before construction. The person dealing with my suit told me that I was bound to the old TOS since I paid off the suit before the changes were made. From the time of being paid off I have had nothing but issues. Communication was extremely bad right from the start. I had to go out of my way to contact them every week or two to get any information. The suit was supposed to have started construction 3 months prior to July, and didn't start construction until the last few days of June. Giving them around 30 days to start a suit, a suit I had assumed they had already started. That was a shock. Image: Re-confirming a July finish: https://images2.imgbox.com/b9/d3/qhIVTi77_o.jpg I didn't recieve any progress update images until mid-july, the date the suit was supposed to ship. twice after that, I got assurances the suit would be finished and shipped by the 'end of the week', twice I was told this, and twice the deadline was missed, making three missed deadlines. My fursuit head was made into a mouse head, it had to be completely redone. My tail was made short and curly, and I was told that it was exactly the same as my reference image. When I pointed out that it wasnt - and therefore not what I asked for, they said, "Oh, but this is right for your suit - trust us." I pressed again, that it was not what I asked for an they eventually redid it. To my horror, they had made it supersized to the point that it would need carried. Even though I asked them to keep it long and skinny, and anotomically correct. Several extras have been added to the suit (against my wishes) to try and compensate me because they realised they messed up. They added airbrushing, they're bumping up the shipping to Express International, and now they made a oversized tail (something I didn't pay for or want) They're completely designing the suit they way the *think* it should look and not what I asked for, and its more than just a "style" thing. Tail (first attempt) https://images2.imgbox.com/90/17/Pa3F9l6Q_o.jpg Tail (second attempt) https://images2.imgbox.com/84/2c/iYrvQ5KF_o.jpg Fursuit references: https://images2.imgbox.com/e1/13/sFGrxjpO_o.jpg https://images2.imgbox.com/5c/b1/GSVYWuhI_o.jpg https://images2.imgbox.com/03/ea/izTVbu2S_o.png 1 out of 4 fursuit reference that was sent has not been posted here due to it being NSFW I get the feeling the person dealing with my suit is new. By his own admission, he had to pass on the fursuit head to a head artist to have it completely redone. They also said that a whole team is working on my suit to try and get it done on time, this is not a good sign. I have over 40 emails from Lemonbrat from my back and forths with them since December of 2018. I've uploaded some of those emails but seeing as there are so many, I'm gonna limit what I've uploaded, if anyone needs anything specific will be happy to add it later. Other images: https://images2.imgbox.com/3c/16/AoO5elCV_o.jpg (Tail argument) https://images2.imgbox.com/05/52/5NevIVAT_o.jpg (Tail argument) Other proof: Update: They've sent pictures of the suit. Update: 08.03.19 The suit has been repaired, and is now en route to the client. The email confirming shipping is being withheld to protect the client's privacy. Update: 08.09.19 Hi there, quick update. The suit arrived, with the ears fixed. Not sure how they did it, as I assumed they weren't going to. The suit is snug and fits neatly, and although I am excited and happy to have it there were a few issues: Minor Issues: - No care instructions -No instructions on how to fit cushions into the digigrade legs properly or how to put on. (a lot of trial and error to get it right) Serious Issues: -The suit arrived with fur stuck in the zipper, and the zip had been driven over and beyond the jam (I managed to fix it with some gentle tugging to release the fur from the middle of the zip but it was really worrying) -The zip is extremely tempromental and sticks. It requires two people to suit up and out. Almost got stuck inside trying it on (wanted to make sure it fit because of the issues previous) -The tail is detachable, and attaches with a belt loop on the rear of the suit. (this is something that kind of gripes me as it breaks the magic, but there's not much I can do about it. They claim it was the 'only' way to fix the horrible bulge they had on the rear of the suit, and it's still there, it's just less noticeable. Other points -They included the repairs with the cost of fixing there mistakes. I asked them to put the value of the materials only on the customs form for cheaper import fees. They bumped the price up to 600$ I suspect they included the price of used materials for the repairs to their own mistakes, I didn't like this, but I shrugged it off, as I didn't want to argue with them anymore. (A few friends have expressed that they feel the price is a bit hefty but I have no knowledge of these things so please don't take my word as fact here) Overall, I'm happy with the suit, I still have a few gripes about it, and clearly it was a fight to get it "this good" and it's still not perfect. I'm not trying to be a 'nightmare' customer, I just expect professionalism from a "big name" in the fursuit making community. A suit arriving with fur jammed, and run over with a zipper, no care instructions, and no instructions on how to actually use the "large cushions" they provided to pad out the legs is a little sloppy in my oppinoun. And then there's the issues that was listed on my beware previously. I feel they only went so far with there repairs to save their own reputation, had I not made the beware and kept pressure on them to fix the mistakes I don't know what the suit would look like, they initially refused outright to do any further repairs after the head recarve. If they did bump up the price of the material cost, simply for shipping purposes as a payback for all the repairs they did, I find that a little petty. All in all, I've decided not to go to Lemonbrat for anything again, and a lot of people have given me there support on this without asking, saying they won't even buy things from there stalls anymore. I appreciate all the support the AB team and the people who read my posts and twitter have given me. And if you chose not support Lemonbrat, that is your choice, but I wouldn't blame you. All the best, Camaro.
  4. I paid for a custom Cinnadog from byronbae on 1/18/2019, which were $40 base price + extra for other trait add-ons. The total transaction was $45 after adding 1 $5 trait to the custom base price. They mentioned there would possibly be a long wait time due to taking multiple slots. deviantART journal, claim proof, and payment proof below. I waited with no update until I received notification on 5/3/2019, where byronbae let everyone still pending know that they were having IRL issues, but should still expect sketches soon. Hearing nothing for several more months, I messaged them again on 9/15/2019 asking for status updates. Byronbae replied that they would be able to potentially get their queue done in October. On 11/28/2019, with no other updates in October and November, I asked for a refund. I received a reply that byronbae was willing to refund me but had no income, so I would need to wait until January. I let them know what I paid and waited for an update. I do not follow byronbae directly on deviantART but checked their page to see if they were active, and noticed they posted a journal on 1/3/2020 mentioning the outstanding commission issue. They claimed that they would be working on refunds and pinging people involved. As of 1/27/2020, no communication has occurred and no refund has been issued. I commented to ask status updates, but it has now been over 1 year since the initial transaction.
  5. On July/23/2019, Exactly 6 months ago, I bought out a set of YCH Telegram stickers from Kaseypaws, proof of which can be seen below. I have not received a single note, DM, or any other kind of communication since I have paid this artist, and around a week and a half ago I decided to check up on them. I monitored this note and noticed that It wasn't read for an entire 5 days, but when it was, I haven't gotten a response since. I could understand If the artist has something going on in their life or If they're still working on the stickers, but I'd like to at least be told that rather than being swept under the rug like I'm stupid/gullible. They've been continuously active on both Twitter and Twitch since I sent the note, which solidifies my belief that my commission has been/is being neglected. I'm willing to give updates on the situation as It's either resolved or when I'm pushed to ask for a refund.
  6. This is something I've put off writing for a while, but I figure it will never get out of my head if I don't write one of these. At the end of 2017 I commissioned BadphometArt (now cowboyote) over twitter to redraw a tarot card in their style with two of my characters. At first communications went very well. Julius seemed kinda excited to work with the idea I had and was even throwing out their own ideas for the picture. They told me it probably wouldn't be finished until late January 2018, and I was perfectly fine with waiting that long. we agreed on a price of $75, but I felt like that was a little low and ended up tipping an additional $35; bringing the total amount paid for this commission up to $110 That was when the first break in communication happened. They had a trello, but did not send me a link to it until I asked, at which point they told me that they had somehow not added my commission to it. That was weird, but I figured it was just a simple mistake at the time. (You can see my card on the trello here.) After that the only updates I got from them in general came from lurking their twitter. It seemed like they had a lot of personal things going on, but they also seemed to be actively working on commissions so I just waited patiently for a message from Julius. However, things became a little odd when my commission suddenly moved to the "finished" tab a month after the stated deadline while still having no image attached to it and not getting a single message from them this whole time. The next time they talked to me was in April. This is after their accounts had been abandoned and it seemed like they left the furry community completely. To summarize what was said, they were overloaded on commissions and were starting to refund people. I was a little say to hear that I wouldn't miraculously get this art I haven't seen a single pixel of for months, but I wished them the best anyways. Then I received a message a month later asking if I had gotten the refund. I hadn't. Then another one 4 days later asking again. Still no. Then a third message asking the same thing and also asking to confirm how much the refund was supposed to be. I wanted to see this over with and get some kind of refund so I just said the $75 and left the extra $35 as just a tip. Apparently that was still too much money, though, as I never heard from them again or got any money back. It was frustrating to have them tease me along for a few weeks before vanishing again. I figured that was the end of it until I was looking through old DMs and saw... ....I had been blocked and they rebranded as cowboyote. Looks like I'm not getting that refund now. And at this point, I'm not counting on it at all. There are things I could have done better. I should have pestered them a little more, and that's what I would recommend other people do too if they find themselves in a similar situation with Julian or any other artist. Having personal troubles is no excuse to ignore customers for weeks and lie about your intentions to give refunds. If they cannot afford to refund they can definitely afford to apologize to myself and all the other commissioners they failed to complete art/refunds for. Twitter logs: (omitting my description of what I wanted because it is very personal/vent-y)
  7. I commissioned this artist on the 8th of July 2019, it was my birthday next month and i wanted to support an artist that i liked and I had just saw they were opening for comms which they usually only open for YCH. So i message them on the submission then contacted them asking for an invoice instead of just paying straight to them, I was seeming to have issue with my paypal with another person so i wanted to make sure everything was working. So payment was sent after a hiccup of wrong payment type I knew it was going to take awhile cause they warn that in the original post, I didn't mind wait cause their work was so excellent. After a few months I didn't get any updates and i was just wondering where they were at so on 17th of October 2019 I sent them another message just asking for a general update. After their reassurance i was satisfied and continued on with my life, I ended up forgetting about it for awhile cause life got busy and with Christmas approaching. I think around another couple months I remembered and I got a little worried because they had said they would finish it in October and before then send me a WIP which they didnt. So on the 7th of January 2020 I sent a message asking for a refund, I didn't mind waiting but I no longer trusted them after they said they were going to finish it in October and then not delivering, plus the character I was getting commissioned of had changed in that time. So I got a reply and now I am just waiting for a refund, but I just want to warn others or have proof for other people that may be waiting for art from them and be getting bad feelings in their gut. I'll update when I get the refund.
  8. Paid in full for 2 Hellboy commissions March 2012, with high level specs confirmed but no completion timeline. Received jpeg of one prelim May 2013. Subsequent attempts to obtain status across multiple platforms have been ignored. I have no hope that i will ever receive the commissions or a refund. Larry doesn't seem to be active in the commission market but in case he ever cones back, here is my experience.
  9. So, the artist initially had posted an emergency 20 art pieces for 50 dollars deal in order to get medical treatment for their pet rats. Originally I was told I'd get extra 10 stickers, and/or an icon. I was told I'd get a refund after 30 days if 10/20 weren't finished. Over a few months I received a few sketches, but nothing was ever completed. I was promised a refund on 11/10/2019, but on that date he told me his job didn't work out, and it wasn't worth getting a job until the summer. I opened a paypal dispute and offered to let him do 10 of the original 20 (or 30 if you countthe extras he promised me) . After he refused to try I asked him to do 3 fullbody pics (same quality as stickers,no background) and one fullbody with a background. Again, I received sketches but nothing finished. I was asked to cancel my dispute as it was stressing him, and ultimately he never finished anything, and provided paypal a fraudulent tracking number with my digital art. He has since gone against his word and completely stopped working... My bank is pending a result on 01/13/2020 for my dispute. Any advice as to how I can get a refund for sure, or how I can get some art or something? This has been over 4 months I haven't seen this money. Unless he refunds me in the summer or my dispute pull through I dont think I'll ever see my monies again Mod note: We had to censor some extremely personal information that the OP missed on censoring.
  10. Kelpiemoonknives asked me for help and I helped them. They were a friend and I can't help helping people I like. There's been no progress and they've been avoided contact since January despite being active on Twitter.
  11. I commissioned Kelpiemoonknives aka Kazmik to draw a ponified version of the Crysis nano suit from the original games. They were taking a while but I considered them a good friend so I didn't worry. The commission was a taking a while so I changed it to something else involving Raven from mlp. Kazmik hasn't responded requests about my commission since Jan 22, 2019 I tried messaging Kazmik on the one of their Twitter accounts that allowed DM from non-mutuals and no-response even though they're active on that account. I feel betrayed and have spent too long worrying over this so I created this.
  12. Around April I posted a thread on toyhouse asking if anyone could do a custom of my stardew valley character. Thyouo posted their art examples and seeing as I really liked what I saw, I reached out to them. We discussed the details and I paid for the custom on April 21st 2019 as shown by the invoice down below. However after three months of radio silence I was beginning to get worried, so sent I message asking for an update. At first we discussed me getting a refund, but at Thyouo's suggestion, I opted for them to finish my custom instead That was the last I heard from Thyouo. I've tried reaching out by sending them a message on toyhouse and via email but I haven't got any response. ive also tried contacting them on insta where theyre active but having gotten a response. At this point there's nothing I can really do. I missed the window to do a paypal chargeback because it's been 7 months and it looks like Thyouo is dead on all of their accounts. All I can do is warn other people in case Thyouo pops up again.
  13. On April 01, 2019, I began supporting the artist on their patreon, Highberryfur. The tier I had been subscribed as was to pay for a $160 commission, which was agreed upon with the artist, for context, the "Unit" in the conversation refers to a character within their closed universe, Mecha Musume. Throughout the course of the year, Highberry began to stop contacting their clients, myself included. It would usually take about two to three weeks to get a response from them, possibly more. This was a recurring situation with previous commissions as well, although not to the same extent. I have tried to contact the artist through different platforms: Discord, FurAffinity, Twitter, to no avail. During the first attempt to contact, on July 28, 2019, due to waiting and the artist inactivity, I had tried to claim the Patreon rewards by themselves as sketches, with no direct response. They sent a previous commission, and didn't reply to my question. Afterwards, I reattempted to contact the artist through FurAffinity on November 14, 2019, met with the same radio silence. It has more than three months since I last had contact with the artist, and still they had not asked for the idea of the commission, even though I had pressed them to discuss the idea I had. I had believed the artist to be simply inactive due to personal reasons, but it seems they've been avoiding FurAffinity, my main method of communication with them, meanwhile still being very active on other platforms, which leads me to believe that they're avoiding answering, due to the messages having been marked as read. Attached are the agreements and payments:
  14. Okay so back on the very first of May I commission Hunter for a 3 character colored halfbody piece that was suppose to be an in stream commission. After first it went well. The sketch was done in the stream the next day, but it was cut short for reasons I don't know, but wasn't really a problem. fast forward three months to mid July and I ask for an update. She replies saying she got busy with work. Again no big problem we all have at one point. Jump another month to mid August and I again ask for an update. She proceeds to show me the sketch from the stream back in May. She once again says that life had gotten in the way and such. Now I'm a little annoyed because it seems like I'm just getting the same excuse. While I understand life happens in all that it's hard to overlook the fact that nothing had been done in almost 4 months at this point. On top of that she had been streaming an at least twice a week doing personal art and even once a birthday stream for her friend. I didn't wait as long last time as I had asked for an update on the 7th of this month and all I received as a reply is "Slowly, but surely". That tells me nothing and just lead me to believe that nothing further had been done at all. At this point I was frustrated and decided to take some time and ask others what I should do. They all advised I be direct and confront her about it which I did. At first I was trying to be calm and civil about it all, but I was met with the same excuse as well as a few new ones. All of which summed up to mean that is almost 5 months she hasn't done anything from that first stream. She calmed she was too busy with life, but could stream personal art twice a week and had even taken a commission this month and finished it in 2 days. But that wasn't the end apparently. She also decided to go to her server and basically badmouth me to everyone there thinking I wouldn't see it I guess and again using all the same excuses as before. Mod Note: The caps from the discord chat were removed as we couldn't verify how public this chat is. We did see that Scourge was named directly, not vented about anonymously.
  15. On January 5th, I had entered into an agreement for a custom texture/skin commission usable in Second Life for the amount of 19k L$ (Approx $75). This was to include a full body texture for both the male and female version of my silver fox character, of which references were provided. Additionally, this project was to include textures for two heads (Canis and Doggo), ears, legs, and implied related typical components. The estimated wait time that was given was 2 weeks. The artist replied via discord on Jan 8th to mention various family-related problems and other issues that was pose a delay, but then contacted me on Jan 10th to tell me the project was "almost done." No WIPs were provided prior to this statement, and I'd seen no work whatsoever. WIPs were explicitly mentioned when we first discussed the project. I was eventually provided some images while out on mobile where I tried to direct concerns about missing or erroneous markings and details. At no point through the process of edits did I approve a final version, as she had also indicated that the "blending" and fur "texture" would be added layer. Regardless, she delivered a "final product" while I was not available to comment or reply, and when asked about it, verified that she felt the project was complete. Inspection of the delivered items showed no inclusion of the male version of the skin. Further, no applier was included for the Canis or Doggo heads. This is especially problematic as the Canis requires one unless a user can somehow manually apply the texture to every single possible animated state of the head one state at a time; simply dragging and dropping the texture on the head only applies it to the specific state it is. This makes the texture for the head largely unusable on its own. The colors of the delivered skin did not match expectations or references, nor did the markings and patterns, especially on the head (at least visible in the single, static 'frame' shown when the head is dropped on the ground). No textures for ears were included, nor were any for 3rd party legs or tail (nor did she even ask which of any of these I wanted to use). Genitals were crudely painted on the female body skin, which are entirely not necessary (and conflict) with the 3rd party body that I had stated I use; this was not a detail that was requested, nor were they shown on the few WIP images I did receive. When confronted and asked whether this was supposed to be the final version, they replied with "yup" and a laughing face, then took insult when I attempted to express my dissatisfaction with the result or pointed out missing components, including making a statement of "I don't cater to customers who insult my work." They claimed several times through the resulting conversation that I "approved" her work, but after repeatedly disagreeing with her on that, she went the route of implying that my lack of immediate response or not telling her to stop was considered by her as approval. The notion that a customer can be busy at work, driving their car, or otherwise being physically unavailable to comment and have that used as a substitute for explicit approval should be cause for alarm for any potential customer. A refund was requested, even partial, to which the artist immediately stated "in my tos it states once a product is done I don't offer refunds." This notion is in dispute as I did not accept or approve of a finished state of the project, nor did we ever agree to any "terms of service" anywhere in our conversation. The user has blocked my communications with them on SL, Discord, and Twitter, refusing any possibility for further contact. I have deleted the items from my inventory, as well as any items they were applied to as part of my own agreement regarding this issue. A fraud report has been filed with Linden Labs. Screenshots:
  16. I have here some pics of our agreement regarding the following art piece I did for the trade (warning NSFW). This Trade started around June 4th, 2019. She has not sent me any form of WIPs for a mod on SecondLife that she owes me. She has said that she would finish it multiple times. So I felt like i was owed either my mod or the money for my hard work and time. She asked me for WIPs and I sent them to her. I have been patient, understanding, and have been as professional as I could. Then when i confronted her one last time, she showed her true colors to me in a very unprofessional and childish way. She has been disrespectful and has demeaned my work out of anger.
  17. On October 6, 2017, I commissioned art fro Badcoyote during his Meatober Stream. It was a commission in which me and another person (known as Charrwolf) split the price for a two person image. Included is record of us discussing the piece, me paying my share on paypal, and a confirmation email from Badcoyote. In the confirmation email, he states that the work would be completed in November. But then he reported publicly on twitter that he ended up in the hospital Nov 1, 2017 and was there through Nov 6, 2017. This news primed me to be forgiving of delays, because obviously it was a huge crisis. It got to December, but then on Dec 5, 2017 Badcoyote (and his partner Lobo) publicly reported that their home was caught up in the California fires. Which was heart wrenching to hear and I knew it would mean that the piece would be in limbo for a while until they could get their lives settled. I mean, it would be insane to assume otherwise and I was alright with that. While I was aware he was streaming again by Jan 1, 2018, he later indicated on Jan 10th, 2018 that he was still homeless due to the fire. On Feb 16, 2018, Badcoyote opened up for more commissions in a stream. I admit, I didn't see anything wrong with this at the time as I imagined he would surely still be in financial distress and honestly trusted him to get to my commission as soon as he was able to. On Mar 14, 2018, Badcoyote opened up for more commissions in a stream again. During this stream, I had asked his partner Lobo about the commission in private chat and was told it was in the process of being worked on and I would hear more soon. (I had failed to screen capture this as I still trusted them and simply accepted the answer given). Then on Apr 2, 2018, Badcoyote further revealed publicly that he had been dealing with further medical issues which had taken precedence. Public announcements revealed that these issues continued through much of April. Obliviously, I could not argue with this as health is important. Finally, on May 1, 2018, Badcoyote provided the sketches for the commission and asked for feedback. Which I provided on May 2nd and he responded again on May 3rd. (note: the second picture also includes an email on May 4th, 2019, asking for an update, which he never responded to). At this point, I thought "Awesome, he hasn't forgotten me and is still working on this. No worries then." And, regretfully, was content to give him the benefit of more time. So when he had another stream on May 22, 2018 where he took more commissions, I thought nothing of it because I "knew" he was working on it. Then June comes around and more public announcements of medical emergencies. So, again, I give him leeway because like....that is terrible luck. September comes along and Badcoyote is having a month of streaming. I will admit the commission had slipped my mind at this point between a busy summer, returning to grad school, and my birthday coming up (also in September). Towards the end of the month of streaming, I remember it though and ask his partner Lobo again about it in stream private chat. He insists it is almost done and will be released in the upcoming Meatober stream in October. Figuring it was just another month, I accepted this (but again didn't think to screen shot it). On Oct 15, 2018, he publicly announces that due to medical issues with his dog and new jobs for both him and Lobo, the meatober fest would be delayed until after the election in November. Deciding that I would be able to wait till then, I said nothing (plus, like, his dog was hurt :( . I'm not a monster.) In a late Nov 2018 stream (however, not the Meatober stream), I asked his partner Lobo again about the commission and again was told it would be ready soon and would come with the Meatober stream, but did not say when it would be. At this point, I was growing frustrated, but I did not know what options I had available as it was well past the 180 days for Paypal and I didn't really have any friends in the furry community who I could ask for advice. This was also the first time I was having an issue with an artist I commissioned. So I just bit my tongue and accepted it, hoping it would be "coming soon" as he promised. Through Dec 2018, he continued to pump out finished works from the streams throughout 2018 but gave no news regarding the 2017 commission in question. He even held another stream, taking more commissions, on Dec 15th 2018. This continues into 2019 with another stream and taking more commissions on Mar 15, 2019. Again I asked his partner about the commission and was told it would be out by Apr or May. Not knowing what else to do, I again accept this answer. On May 3rd, 2019, Badcoyote announces he will be slowing down to work on grinding out commissions. This brings us to May 4th, 2019 when I emailed him to check for an update (and hoping that the email would jog his memory about the piece I was told repeatedly was "almost ready")[previously included]. Getting no answer, I message him on twitter on May 6th as I was unsure if his email was still accurate. He responds promptly and promises it will be done around May 22nd (give or take 3 days). "Sounds great" I think and set my concern aside, especially since I noticed on Furaffinity that he stated he was taking no new commissions until he got caught up. May 27th comes by and, getting home from work, it suddenly strikes me that I hadn't heard from him. So I ask for another update, unaware I was catching him in a stream. Now this news disappointed me, but I interpreted it (I would later realize mistakenly) that it would be done sometime in June and I went to bed figuring I would consider what to do (if anything) in the morning. The next morning is when I remembered that he had claimed he would take no new commissions until he was caught up. Frustrated and angry over the fact that again he was telling me it would be "coming soon" all while he was doing yet more streams. I asked some new friends in the furry community what to do and they told me to go to Paypal and try to get a refund, even if it resulted in shutting down both of our paypal accounts (due to the commission being a sexual piece in nature, which violates the Paypal terms of service). I was worried this was a bit extreme. At this point I remembered I had the discord info of Charrwolf (the person I shared the commission with) and asked for his advice on this issue. He advised a more moderate approach by publicly bringing it up in the next stream chat. I stated exactly what Charrwolf advised in the stream that evening. But it was deleted before I could even screenshot it. His partner Lobo then chastised me in private chat. Which, ok, thinking back on it. maybe it was a bit out of line, given it was a charity stream. but the commission in question was part of a charity stream from over 1 year and a half ago, so it seemed reasonable. (Following is the conversation with Lobo) Badcoyote then contacts me on Twitter and, in re-reading the messages, I realized (as stated earlier) that in my frustration I had misinterpreted what he said as meaning it would be "done sometime in june" when what he said was that he was putting off working on it till June (which isn't better, but means I was in the wrong to bring it up in stream). The following is the conversation we had. During the conversation, he states that there are others ahead of me with older commissions. When I ask about it, he deflects saying he won't talk about them. Frustrated again, but feeling bad for my misunderstanding, I sit back to wait and see if he delivers. Badcoyote holds another stream in June where he takes more commissions. So on June 20th, 2019, I ask for an update. In his refusal to provide an update on the commission, he does imply that he had at least 27 commissions from 2017 or older (based on his previous insistence that he could not prioritize me over older commissions). Again he states it is coming soon with a 2 week deadline if I leave him alone to work. I do so, though not entirely out of my free will as I had my own health crisis in July and August. In August, he again publicly blames job issues for delays in commission completions for the previous month. On Sept 6, 2019, he opens a stream to take free sketches. With my own life back in order, I asked for another update today (Sept 14,2018 at 9:03 am CST), to which he has given no response at this time (11:33pm CST). My instincts told me to give him time to respond, but my friends have urged me to post this to warn others. Seeing as giving him time has earned me no results, I have followed their advice. I hope no one else will have to deal with this. Beware Badcoyote / CritterCanvas. Note: I don't know if I'm out of line for commenting on what occurred throughout the 2 year time span especially since I didn't include images to prove that occurred. I have evidence of most of it (except where I specifically state I don't), but did not include it as I worried it would be regarded as violating the restriction against personal info, even though it was publicly posted. So I summarized it to give explanation to why I had nothing in evidence for such a long period of time and why I kept giving him time to work despite how long it was overdue.
  18. Based on a prior satisfactory experience I commissioned BluHuny for a half-body name badge at BLFC in May, 2019. The commission was fully paid, $150, by credit card at the con. The commission was accepted and acknowledgement sent. I was #41 in the BLFC queue. BluHuny still had a considerable backlog of commissions from GSFC and did not start BLFC commissions until August 17. BluHuny promised to complete all BLFC commissions in 4 weeks. I sent in a ref sheet for my badge. BluHuny took a break of several days in early September to begin school. By this point 14 completed BLFC commissions had been posted on his telegram channel. However, updates to the channel, other than two posts promising to get back to work on art, ceased. There has been no communication from the artist and his FA is inactive. His personal telegram states not to contact him regarding commissions. I have no way to ascertain whether the commission will ever be completed. Telegram posts and detail line from my credit card statement attached.
  19. The Artist was taking commissions back in July and I desired to get one. It started off well with me giving references and then the exchange of payment came through. after a little bit I had asked on a progress update(Prob could of waited longer on that first update request), a few days later they do reply. No big deal they were busy with life. I wait longer and still no word, I ask again for any sort of update. No response for awhile, assuming more life stuff I decide to wait more. Then over the course of 6 months it has been attempts of getting any sort of update and met with pure silence.
  20. Commissioned him for a couple NSFW images of mine and a friends OC proceeded to delay my request constantly then refuse to reply after a few months until eventually blocking me and keep the money also keeps changing @ URL's to continue scamming others The paypal name isnt his real name as he keeps changing the paypal name along with his twitter to remove any breadcrumb trails to them also used random artists art as his own when showing examples of his work
  21. Oh April 24th of this year, i had commissioned Jazz-o for a 3 way collab commission with two other people. I was given a deadline of 2 weeks. I will admit fault on my part for failing to follow up after 2 weeks but i will admit i had completely forgotten about the commission at the time. When i did remember, it had been 4-5 months since the commission had been ordered. When i did remember, i had contacted Jazz-o on Discord to request an update on the commission's progress. I was informed that things were on hold due to a recent death in the family and was told it would get completed. Nothing was said to imply the art was being worked on. Not long after, i had a change of heart and decided i no longer wanted the artwork. Under the impression that the work still hadn't been started, i contacted Jazz-o to request a full refund, to which she agreed. She informed me she didn't have the money to refund me that day, but said she'd be able to get the money back to me in 1-2 months. I agreed to wait. 2 months pass and i receive a note from Jazz-o on deviantART claiming the artwork was now almost completely finished and that she could only offer me a $10 refund for what hadn't been done yet. I find out that the sketch had actually been finished at the time i requested the refund and simply wasn't informed of it. I had to remind her that i stated i did not want the art anymore. I did receive the artwork instead of the agreed upon refund, but i did not want it and made that clear twice before receiving it. I'm posting this because there are several other cases of unfulfilled obligations on Jazz-o's end and i'd like to warn anyone who may or may not have considered commissioning her about the possible outcome of doing so.
  22. Who: Mo Twitter: MugsTheAlien, MugsTheGoblin, MoTheGoblin FA: PigeonsAndPeaches Instagram: shrimpgoblin What: Sticker Pack, $125 Where: Twitter Why: Misleading queue presentation, trying to break own TOS, lying about/omitting parts of our interaction in a Commissioner Beware Short version: I commissioned under the impression Mo had a reasonable-length queue. I then watched them do multiple adopts and personal art without any explanation or reason for the delay on my work (or anyone else’s). When I asked for a refund (in accordance with TOS) every attempt was made to discourage me from it until I pressed enough to get them to agree. I later gave in and agreed to continue the commission against my better judgment, accepting stickers in place of the original in hopes that it would help clear the air on the original concept. My commission was subsequently rushed and I was made to feel the villain for asking for updates and that it be finished within the buyer protection window. They left the drop shadow and stroke off the stickers and refused to let me add them myself. When I expressed I felt this was unfair, they did a beware on me with misleading and outright wrong information. Long version: In early June, my partner Ri bought an adopt (Hardy) from Mo as a surprise gift for me. I got in contact with Mo to get the name and details added to the ref sheet. In the course of our conversation, they convinced me to get a commission from them of the character. I’ll be honest and say I felt a little guilty because I dropped the whole “I might commission” thing and then kinda felt like I should. That’s on me. I really shouldn’t have commissioned under pressure. So, I went ahead and commissioned. The commission was promised at around 2 months. Which I wasn’t in a rush, but I figured with the small amount of commissions on their queue, it wouldn’t be too long. Mo did not mention to me that their queue was WAY out of date, leading me to believe there wasn’t much ahead of me, especially since they added my project almost immediately. In early September, Mo posted that their Trello was not up to date. I waited a couple weeks, thinking there were just a few things missing or something that had been taken after my commission. Then I checked in with them on Sep 17th. They verified that it still wasn’t up to date. I waited quietly, hoping this would be updated soon, but I was starting to get pretty stressed and worried. And resentful. In the time I was waiting to hear or see anything, Mo posted plenty of adopts and personal artwork, and advertised constantly for more commissions. I have nothing against artists having off days, doing personal work, etc., but there’s something very shady when you’re constantly open for commissions, your queue is out of date, and nothing you post seems to be related to completing or even working on commissions. I was seriously considering asking for a refund when I received a message from Mo’s manager on Oct 7, asking what I had commissioned, when, etc. Tabby (the manager) was updating Mo’s queue and rearranging things. I started to think that maybe there was some chance I’d get my stuff. After the queue settled out, I noticed there were a lot of people placed ahead of me, and certain people had been marked as a priority, but I was not one of them despite being one of the oldest comms in the queue. After waiting another several days, I reached out to see if I could arrange a refund (and yes, understanding that it wouldn’t be immediate and that it would not be in full). It was immediately demanded that I explain why. I explained that I felt I had been misled regarding the amount of stuff in front of me and that I was uncomfortable with all the stuff getting done ahead of me and the personal art. I was told why the delay was justified, including that they’d taken comms for “seasonal” things, were doing “minor” edits, the queue already was out of date, etc. I was told they weren’t “comfortable” giving me a refund since they’d started (note again I didn’t say I wanted a 100% refund, nor did I ever; I fully expected to only get a partial refund but I just wanted to be done with it all). I will admit that I shouldn’t have accused them of slamming out the sketch without proof, but it did feel very weird that the sketch appeared about 30 minutes after I asked about a refund. Please keep in mind their comment about how their sketches are “always rough” for later. Once the pose was explained to me, I could kind of make out what they were drawing, but honestly I still couldn’t really see many details. They also made a comment about “finding it odd” that I was asking for a refund after they started the sketch. I’m not sure what they were implying, since I hadn’t seen the sketch? And I never said I wanted a refund on work already done? I also found myself having to justify not asking for a refund when Tabby initially contacted me, but nothing was said about that being an option or a “last chance” to ask for. I was also threatened with being blacklisted for canceling, despite that being stated nowhere in their TOS. The flurry of texts after, I honestly didn’t know how to respond. I was trying to handle things as gently as I could. I get that refunds are stressful (been there), so I didn’t have any intention of demanding anything. I was handed off to Tabby, which was fine. She added me to the refund list. I was told there would be a delay, and at that point I didn’t know what else to say. I mentioned my buyer protection being a ways out, and that I would be comfortable waiting that long. In response to my “ok,” it was pressed that it would be faster to get art done, which again felt like being pressured to not do a refund. (I honestly wasn’t in a hurry, but at that point there were like, 6 weeks left?) After a few days, I started to feel bad for asking the refund. I really do love Mo’s artwork, and I thought maybe a compromise could be reached. I reached out to Tabby about possibly getting stickers instead of the original request. I figured I’d get 5-6 for what I’d paid. I was offered 15 instead, which I thought was pretty cool. While I was waiting, I noticed a friend of mine had gotten a (non-holiday) full body done, and I couldn’t recall having seen their stuff in queue earlier. Fortunately, I was provided with the sketches a few days later, and I finally started to feel like things were going well and I could get my art and have something to enjoy. I gave feedback on the expression/pose on one sketch which was fixed. I was a little surprised, though, when the next WIP I got was full color, since their TOS states there’s a line phase to refine pose etc. Still, the only gripe I had was that since he was supposed to be “puppy eyes begging” in the sticker, I wanted his eyes shinier. I specified that I wanted it only on that particular expression, but Mo added eye shine to the rest of the stickers later on, too, which I thought was nice. This was the next WIP I got Mugs has characterized my requests for edits as “rude” and excessive. I will let the reader be the judge. You’ll see the next interaction I had above as well. Mo had posted that they were going to be on hiatus to “deal with some family stuff,” but that clients could reach out if they had concerns. Which I did when I saw it about two days later. I was made to feel as though I had no right to ask about this, as an artist deserves a vacation, etc. etc. Again, didn’t really know what I could say or do, so I just stayed quiet until I got more updates. I was, at that point, pretty annoyed with how I’d been treated, but I wasn’t in the mood to be confrontational as I figured it would just result in my stuff being rushed. Updates continued, again without any WIPs between sketch and color phases. I didn’t want to ask for major changes since I wasn’t getting a chance to give feedback on lines, but I didn’t feel like most of what I was asking for was out of line. Lettering should’ve been a matter of just drawing over again, and they were nearly invisible on my phone (showed up ok on my laptop, though). Over the weekend, I saw that the last three had been uploaded. With this one, I felt like the fingers on the top left were really rushed (and honestly the whole sticker)? And looked odd. I asked for a fix on that. I also asked if there would be drop shadows like in this example that Mo has been posting as an ad on twitter for $5/each YCH sticker packs. Telegram recommends a stroke and drop shadow on all stickers, which is especially important since you can put complex pics in the background, so it didn't seem unreasonable to expect that those would be added in the finishing phase. Asked if the fingers on one sticker of three could be corrected (the top left). They were very sausage-y and looked nothing like the sketch (though the sketch is very rough). After being told no, no shadows, I was told that if I was happy with it, they could send the link. I asked if it would be possible to get them without a background so I could add simple outlines, drop shadows. I’m told I’m “rude” for wanting that, and “oops, I forgot to include the packet link!” Which tells me the stickers had already been turned into a pack and I was expected to accept them before I was even asked what I thought. I’m also told “I understand you may want things to your liking”. Well, yes, yes I do want things to my liking, since I paid $125 for this custom commission. I’m told I’ll be blacklisted once “the conversation is over,” and it’s made pretty clear that there is no intention to further update my commission. I write back with my reply. After which, Mo makes a “beware on commissioner” making several false and misleading claims, including that I approved the sketch for the original full body commission (addressed in next section). I have been blocked by the artist, and no attempt to make these stickers usable or correct the fingers on the one sloppily done one seems likely. Mo’s “Beware on Commissioner” and Counterpoints: Mo made a beware on me, which was misleading and inaccurate, and even contained an outright lie. They also posted excerpts of our communications out of chronological order, making it even more confusing. Please refer to the Long Version section to review transcripts for proof of any claims I make. They claim I approved the sketch before requesting a refund. If you look at the transcript above, you can see I never even saw the sketch until after I asked the refund, and I certainly never approved anything. They themselves state they completed the sticker and got approval without running the lines past me. Blatantly outside of their TOS. They claim I asked for changes after the stickers were completed, but I had no choice since they went from very rough sketches to completed with no input from me in between. Remember they said to me that their sketches were “very rough”? How was I supposed to know from a Very Rough sketch how it would look completed? I asked for fairly minor changes, and I would have requested them at the line phase had I been given the chance (if the lines were the applicable phase). At no point did they inform me that these were difficult changes. They claim I was impolite in my messages. The last two, yeah, I got "impolite". But I feel that most of my feedback was very polite, and at no point did Tabby say I was rude. Here they state their hiatus was due to an injury, contradicting their earlier claim that it was a family issue. They state they’re not comfortable with me wanting things done “while can force a refund.” But why should I be comfortable commissioning if I have no protection? They have $125 of my money. I have… what, a hope that I’ll eventually get my art??? I asked for a drop shadow before the pack was sent to me. I was direct with my request, but I wouldn’t call it a demand. I was not told there would be no drop shadow, and the only example of Mo’s stickers contained one, so I’d say, yet again, I was misled. They stated their beware “is not an attack” but then send it out to their followers with inaccurate information mischaracterizing the entire transaction to 10x the followers I have. Not sure what else I’d call that. I also never used the phrase “force a refund.” It’s odd that my hope to have my artwork completed in 180 days while I still had some reassurance that I had a way to get either the commission or my money back is something that made a professional artist uncomfortable. I didn’t ask for “one edit per sticker.” I maybe asked for four total? There was an entire sheet that I loved and thought was great and didn't ask for a single change on, and others I was willing to accept as-is even though they weren’t quite what I wanted. Regarding the following screenshot, their claim that that is how they responded when I asked about the break is a lie as well. That was a response to me asking about the drop shadows and edit for the fingers. While I absolutely could extract the stickers back to PNG and edit them from Telegram, I’m not going to. Frankly this whole hideous deal has left me with a very expensive pile of stickers that I really don’t know to do with. I don’t enjoy looking at them, even though intellectually I know most of them are really cute. I don’t want to use them. Basically, Mo technically fulfilled the letter of my commission with enough ambiguity to say they did what was promised. The commissioner beware was deleted when I posted a link to my version of events. However, Mo made no effort to correct the misinformation in the beware and has claimed I have been directly harassing them and continuing to cause them problems, and I am therefore still getting their followers turning up on my twitter to harass me. TOS Issues/Other Info and Proof: Proof they say that refunds are available at any time with no stipulation requiring justification. (And remember, at no point did I demand a full refund.) Proof they claim there’s a line phase of approval. Which I never got. Trello card showing the lack of a line phase: UPDATE 11/27/2019 In response to Mo’s beware, I posted a link to this beware and asked that people consider my side of the story, since there was inaccurate information in the thread. Mo subsequently deleted the first tweet in the thread, more or less hiding my reply as well. However, the rest of the tweets were still on their timeline, so I used my alternate account to post links to each of the tweets with incorrect information in hopes that I wouldn’t be silenced again. Mo subsequently deleted all but that last couple of tweets. After this, Mo made several posts claiming that it was “harassment” and that my partner (who had engaged them to refute misinformation as well) was also harassing them. At this point, I was understandably annoyed and furious over the whole thing and how I was being portrayed, so I posted the following. In response to this vaguetweet, Mo decided to release the stickers for public use and refund me (minus about $5 because they sent it as Goods and Services instead of refunding the original transaction). While I suppose I’m glad for the refund, I am of course concerned that they sent it G&S as a separate transaction, meaning they could chargeback at any point in the next 180 days. In consideration of the fact that the refund can still be revoked, and the possibility that other folks may have similar experiences, I will not be removing this beware. Mo continues to make claims of harassment and spread disinformation, and has failed to appropriately address any of the concerns raised in this beware publicly or privately.
  23. So back in 2018 at FWA I commissioned Kenner for two badges, one for myself and the other for my SO. I was told that we could pick them up Monday before they left but unfortunately we had to leave Sunday night. I provided them with an address where they could send the badges once they were finished but we never received them. A year of waiting later I get back in contact with Kenner and ask for updates, I get told that they're being worked on or sent to me and nothing happens for months. I'm told I would receive scans, nothing. After those months of waiting I gave them an ultimatum, show me that something has been done or I'll be requesting a refund and sharing the chat logs that I've kept to as many places as possible. Doing that got me pictures of the badges actually finished, so now all they had to do was mail them to me and I provided my addresses where they could send me the badges (I moved so I made sure to give them the updated address). Now I'm about to move again, I gave them a day to have the badges to me by and told them again that if I didn't get the badges, I'd be sharing the evidence that I have of them not following through on their commission. Now that time has come and I am following through.
  24. Edit 12.18.19: Mastercard has sided in the artist's favor due to a 120 day filing limit. <<To moderater, i might need help explaining things, or explination of what might be wrong with my claim, I or you can delete this, if needed >>> In July 16, 2019.I had posted via polycount, a job/commission. Trying to get help for a personal project with animating and help with refining a 3D model. When I was contacted Mr.Davis sent me several youtube videos and a website of their previous work. After reviewing it, I had decided to choose Mr.Davis for the project in question. Many things during our back-and-forth email had let me know we were both in understanding of what was project was. From there, we had decided to go through the bulk of the coversation through Discordapp.com. The following week we had hashed out all details and 'trimmings' of what was to be done and further discussed when prompted. the total cost was to be 1200 USD. After both of is agreeing to a "half now, half later" payment process. Mr. Davis went to work. During the same mention week. We had chatted on what needed to be fixed and what had been completed thus far. Then, a very long unwarrented, hiatus started. I waited 3 week with no contact of any kind. After trying to contact them a decent amount of times. Only to be told that by Mr. Davis had not been working on the agreed-to, project hardly at all due to other work taking over too much. I understood having too much to do and so I left it at that. I waited 2 more weeks. After trying for contact again. Mr. Davis stated that they they were, just now, visiting family, with little acknowledgement of the hiatus mentioned prior. Mr. Davis said after two weeks they would be back to getting back on track. I waited the alloted two weeks and then tried to contact them to see if all was well. No responses were had for 1 month, after the claimed 2 week, requested delay. It has been a total of 3 months trying to get in contact of my project or progress. I have filed a Paypal refund, only to be denied. Paypal stating that "I had recieved what was commissioned". I did not. As of now, I want to try and get in contact with Mr. Davis to see what went wrong. As, Mr. Davis has blocked me on Discorapp.com. I want to either get my money back or get what I was promised. If anyone could help with this, I would appreciate it.
  25. I wanted to commission this guy for a custom 3d modell of a character. He did work on many interesting pieces before, just view his 3d gallary for proof. So i wrote to him on Discord that i was interested in getting a commission from him. It started out pretty casual. I told him what i was looking for. It went pretty much good until payment as we quickly came to the terms on what i wanted. I think the last picture says a lot about my patients at that point. Its been 1 year since i commissioned him and i still had not gotten anything besides wips, also most of them only because i keeped bugging. This was my first 3d thing i wanted to get and i usually commission 2d stuff and wanted to try something new. I feel betrayed and scammed by now. There is no way paypal could assist me as the transaction was already from last year and they only gurantee you for 6 months. if i had known that i would have presured him with pulling my money back, but i never was such a person so i gave him time and casually ask from time to time. By this day i have written him on Twitter, Deviantart and as you can tell countless times on discord. But maybe posting a beware here could help my soul to find some peace at least.
