About Me

  1. Jul. 11th, 2012 at 12:35 AM zombieyaoi I forgot to edit this a while back. I've modified the lineart in SAI (modified the horns, removed the wings, removed jewelry etc.) and released it as 'free by request' lineart. This is as resolved on my end as it's going to get. WHO: Zephriam on DeviantART. Zephriam on FurAffinity. And another FurAffinity account. Zephriam on Furcadia, among many other alts. I am not sure what alts she has currently, because she's a known trader, but I know she won't part with Zephriam, and I know some alt names are listed in the thread below. WHERE: Art trade between me and her turned commission. WHAT: She asked for character lineart. Agreed price was $12.00. Art can be viewed [ here ] WHEN: 2010. Image was originally submitted on my old deviantART account in August 2010. PROOF: Screenshots of notes are provided here. I am the OP, Lau. EXPLAIN: Originally, this started as an art trade. Then we decided she'd pay me 12 dollars paypal for the art. And then she never paid, and when I tried to contact her about it, repeatedly, she always never had the money or had some sort of crisis. While commissioning and paying other artists. I didn't want to resort to this but I see no other options. All details are explained in the thread linked in "Proof". EDIT: Added DA/FA links. EDIT 2: Added the new FA link as well.
  2. Jul. 10th, 2012 at 3:21 PM crazeetyger WHO: Darius Koopa/DMK WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/dmk / http://www.furaffinity.net/user/dariuskoopa WHAT: Art Trade WHEN: Nov. 6, 2011 EXPLAIN: I posted a journal opening up art trades ( http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2885835/ ) and DMK was one of the people who commented. We exchanged info on what we wanted (I do not have those initial notes any longer) and I finished my half a few days later (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6830293/ ). I wasn't working at the time and so I could churn out my art rather quickly. I did not expect him to do the same. Two months later, I hadn't seen or heard about our trade, so I sent hom a quick note: http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww187/Jandan_2009/dmk1.png He said he had been busy and I gave him the benefit of the doubt. The following month, still not having heard anything, I shot him another note (I seem to have deleted the one I initially sent) : http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww187/Jandan_2009/DMK2.jpg Again, he said his life was hectic. I was moving at the time and understood. The link is a ref sheet. I would send him a note once a month over the next several months: http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww187/Jandan_2009/DMK3.jpg http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww187/Jandan_2009/dmk4.jpg http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww187/Jandan_2009/DMK5.jpg http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww187/Jandan_2009/dmk6.jpg He did not respond to this last note, though he read it within an hour or so of my sending it. I waited a month to send the next one. I was annoyed with his excuses and realizing I would most likely not see the art owed, I got a tad bit snippy: http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww187/Jandan_2009/dMK7.jpg He offered to email me his sketch. I'm not really sure why I insisted on him uploading it instead. I just felt it would be a bad idea if he had my email. I went out of town a few days later and when I returned, he still had not posted the sketch. I sent him another note, to which he read and ignored.: http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww187/Jandan_2009/dmk8.jpg I admit, I was probably too snippy in that last note. But being polite wasn't working and I was asking a direct question in which I wanted a direct yes or no answer. After the second note or so, I did start watching him (to which he watched me in return) . He is very active in his journals, opening up commissions and doing live streams. I understand people need money to live (sad but true) so I didn't want to be too insensitive. Yes, we had a transaction of art instead of money, but art from someone else doesn't pay your bills. I understand that. I just felt I was getting the run around with him and the feeling I would never get the art I was owed. EDIT 7/20: He finished his half and sent me the link today. It's been uploaded to his page. He did apologize in both the note and the artist comments.

  4. Jul. 7th, 2012 at 6:47 AM aperturefox I haven't posted here before, so I apologize for any mistakes. About two months ago (I believe on May 4th), I commissioned someone at an anime con for two tails, one of my fursona, and one of my fiance's. I paid upfront VIA cash- 90$. I only have the one email she sent of the night for proof of this whole thing. Ever since that email she sent, I had not heard from her since, even though after I tried to contact her at times. I do not know what's going on, if she lost internet or something. Quite frankly, I know nothing. The rest is under the cut. EDIT: (4/14/13): Sent her another email, plus I contacted her VIA Etsy, where her recent upload was around March of this year. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/266/alik.png/ EDIT: I sent her another email a few days ago, and this is what I got: http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e235/Baka_Koori_Kitsune/akijs.png Was about a week ago, but I have not heard back yet. EDIT: I was going to email her today, but my hotmail wouldn't work. Finally I got this on my phone, and now hotmail works! It must have known. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e235/Baka_Koori_Kitsune/Capture-2.png WHO: Aliks Cosplay http://www.alikscosplay.com/ http://www.etsy.com/shop/AliksCosplay WHERE: BAMCon- '12. First anime con in Pittsfield, MA. Took place probably around 2-6 PM on May 4th. I paid up front, 90.00$ WHAT: I ordered two tails to be made for my fiance and myself of our fursona. She said because of the markings, it would come to 90$ all together, ship included. When we were talking to her, she asked for my email which I promptly gave to her, which she emailed me from her phone asking me for the reference sheets for the tails. WHEN: We started transactions on the 4th. As stated I paid her 90.00$ up front in cash. I don't have a receipt, just the emails. The first email was sent to me asking about our references, stated here. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e235/Baka_Koori_Kitsune/screen1.png After that, I sent her the email containing the two references. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e235/Baka_Koori_Kitsune/screen2.png After I sent her that, she said that she had received it on her phone. I forgot she said that honestly (I have a crappy memory), and sent her an email about 13 days later. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e235/Baka_Koori_Kitsune/screen3.png So I waited. Then, I sent her another email a couple weeks later. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e235/Baka_Koori_Kitsune/Screen4.png Then, I sent her this today. Now, I tried to not be rude, to be truthful I'm just really awkward at typing these emails, because I feel I sound 'pushy' when I really don't mean to be. I realize now I probably could have worded this better, and if she does read it, she probably is pretty mad. I'm sorry, I really tried to be professional about it. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e235/Baka_Koori_Kitsune/Screen5.png This was sent today PROOF: Other than the emails I really don't have one. She didn't give me a receipt to my phone, or anything. EXPLAIN: I tried to e-mail her within a couple weeks so she didn't feel like she was being hounded. I have no idea if she's getting them, if something happened, or what. She never did ask for my address to ship, but that might have slipped her mind. I have her etsy/website, but I don't think they have been updated in a while. I don't hate her, I'm not spiteful towards her, I just really want either my money back, or my tails.
  5. And this is pretty much what any attempt to contact her looks like https://dl.dropbox.com/u/18591885/celly%20skype.png EXPLAIN: I commissioned her around a year ago now, her username on deviantart was CelestetheHedgehog. She was doing a sale on sketches so I thought I'd get a few, if I recall she was having money issues. I contacted her a little bit after her sale, on July 11th by note, and she accepted. I sent her payment a few days later, and she got to work. Not too long after, I got the first sketch from her, and was very pleased with it. She said she'd work on the next ones soon, so I waited. I didn't use MSN much, which was one of the only ways to contact her, but I tried to sign on every once in awhile to see if she had anything new. I never managed to get online at the same time she did, so I dropped her a DA note to see if she would see it and reply. It took her awhile, but she got back to me, saying she had 2 more sketches, and would give them to me that night when she scanned them. I got online and poked her, and she gave me 2 sketches, I was pleased with them. I trusted she was going to finish the others at this point, so I gave her some time. I tried to pop on MSN now and then, to see if she had anything for me. I never saw her online again after that. I had just figured she wasn't around when I was, so I tried to shoot her a DA note. No reply. Eventually, she made a journal saying that anyone who commissioned her should note her to remind her of what they had gotten so she could finish it ASAP. Alright. I noted her again. No reply. Pretty sure she at least read it. I was kinda upset at this point, still popped on MSN now and then to see if she was there, nothing. I eventually found out she had moved accounts, and didn't even tell me, as well as I assume anyone else who commissioned her. Turns out she had become a pony artist, and had her own ask blog on Tumblr, AskPalette-Swap. I was pretty upset, it's probably one of the worst things a commissioner can do is change accounts and not tell people who paid you. Doing that just seems like you're fleeing. After I found out who she was, saw she had been posting quite a bit to her ask blog, I noticed her name pop up on Skype, in which I promptly IMed her, asking about things. She took awhile to reply, but she finally did, and apologised. She said she had the rough sketches, and that she would even draw some pictures, full color, of my pony to make up for the wait. I was pleased to hear this. She said she was sick, but would show me the pics later in the night after she woke up from a nap. Later that night, I got no message. I waited for a week or so, I figure I'd give her time to heal from being sick. But I heard nothing from her, at all. But I noticed one thing, she kept posting to her ask blog just fine. Drawing or streaming every day. I was incredibly upset at this point. I tried so hard to get to her, I even consider her a friend, I know her from a long time ago. And she just treats me like this. It doesn't seem like she cared at all about getting things done, which is weird. She had worked so fast before. I ended up sending her a few messages on skype again, one asking for an update. Sent it at around 5 PM, no reply. Noticed at around 1 AM she posted a picture to her pony blog. IMed her again. No reply, so I sent her a message letting her know how I feel. Took her forever to reply, but she did, saying she was sorry and would work on the pics soon. I eventually got 2 of the last promised pics, but I'm still waiting on one, which apaprently just needs some color. I keep waiting, trying to contact her on skype, and on tumblr, no replies, ever. I'm pretty sure she's ignoring me, since I see her change her skype icon quite a bit. To add to the frustration, she opened up MORE commissions on her pony blog, and even finishes them before mine. She even draws things for 4chan. It's frustrating, this honestly has to be the most frustrating commissioner I have ever had to deal with. I try my hardest to keep in contact, and be polite, but I just can't deal with this anymore. Is it really that hard to just finish the work? She said she just had to color it. And refuses to stay in contact with me or reply to me. So I'm posting this here. It's just upset me so much, especially since she used to be so good at delivering art. I tried to be nice since she's a friend, but I don't want to be treated like this. u_u I wouldn't have been so bothered if I just got an update. I've waited pretty long for commissions but it doesn't bug me as much as long as the person stays in contact so I know they don't just run off. I'll probably get the last pic eventually, but I feel this attitude towards commissioners is uncalled for.

A day passed, nothing, she had been active on facebook, 'liking' things and made a comment to someone. Feeling worried that I was being blown off, I sent a second poke that night, this time voicing my concerns, this is where the situation escalates; 1.) Screencap 2/2 ) http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k590/Serallis/marblesscreenshot2-1.png As seen in the screenshot, I was met with attitude and swears and aggression. Despite being taken back, and a bit insulted, I tried to approach the situation as civil as possible. I decided there, by her attitude and failure to deliver initially, that I wanted a full refund, as I had not even used the character anyways. She accused me of shorting her on an (unrelated) refund issued recently. I tried to explain a bit of why the payments ere either cents or a few dollars short (paypal fee.) She refunded me in full (17 usd) then on the note of "Fine I sent it back now leave me alone." Although I was refunded in full after a bit of negotiating, I feel her behavior and attitude alone warrants a beware here. Very off putting in a transaction. PROOF: (See above section.) 7. Jul. 6th, 2012 at 12:48 AM teapot_mouse WHO: maoria on FurAffinity WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/maoria/ WHAT: 3 traditional sketches, to be delivered by mail after completion. WHEN: Bought commissions a year ago. Have not even seen commissions, let alone received them. PROOF: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2216583/ Screencaps of her FurAffinity journal are below showing where I am listed as buying commissions (I am "thedormouse"). EXPLAIN: A year ago maoria posted the commission journal shown above. I decided to commission some pictures and noted her on FA. She was friendly and responsive at first, as this note with history shows, and was even willing to ship from the UK to the US: After I sent her payment, she abruptly cut off communication. After a few weeks, I noted her again about the commissions and received this bizarre response. After some time with no further communication, I messaged her several times but received no response (even though the FA note system indicated they had been read or at least deleted). Finally, I told her that I'd open a trouble ticket on her if she did not respond. Naturally, she didn't, so I did, though that got me nowhere. Her account was fairly inactive for many months. Recently, however, she has made a return and has even started taking commissions again. I noted her about mine. When the first few were ignored, I noted her again and found she had blocked my account. She's posted a "to-do" list of commissions, which I am of course not on. Emails to the accounts she has listed on her FA account yield no response either.

She accepted and not long after she sent me a link to a partially completed portion of the picture I had requested. The picture she sent me showed the torso and legs of one character, and just a scrap of the other one, though she explained that she had been busy and had not had time to work on the art that much. Some months passed, and I sent her a note on Fur Affinity, asking about the status of my commission. When she did not answer, I succeeded in locating her DeviantArt account and I sent her a note there, again asking after the status of my commission. She answered me back and explained the circumstances behind her absence. In the note, she offered to give me a refund, and I refused, preferring that she should finish my commission instead. This was in February of 2012. I have not heard from her since, and there has been no visible activity on either her FA account or her DeviantArt account since I commissioned her. I have sent her two more notes on DeviantArt, one at the start of May and one at the start of June, and neither have been answered or, so far as I can see, even read.

He has left his FA account and has promised not to contact me since July 3rd. PROOF: I will put with the explanation, to hopefully help you follow better. EXPLAIN: For the past few months, Dante has been annoying me. He was a bit annoying during my pantsu icon raffle, where he kept mentioning that his birthday was soon after the raffle ended. Him entering: http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm177/Loveless_Neko3/raffle1.png Comment on raffle reminder: http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm177/Loveless_Neko3/raffle2.png I personally found his continuous mention of his birthday to be sort of a pressure, even if he didn't intend. I just assume most people wouldn't mention it at all if they didn't want to put pressure on the artist. May 31st, after the raffle had ended, he noted me. I was completely confused at first at what he was asking for, but after clarification, he was breaking one of the rules of my TOS: I must be paid before work. Here he's trying to order a commission and promising to pay later because right now he doesn't have a paypal: http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm177/Loveless_Neko3/attemptatfreecommission.png I don't have screen shots of this because the shout got bumped off my page (I only felt the need to make this article after tonight, so all caps are recent), but in it he asked if he could commission me for a pantsu icon, even though they were journal only. The fact that he was aware of it, and wanted one even though he had no paypal, really stung me bad. July 19th, after I had answered someone else's question about my future pricing on reference sheets, he comes to the deluxe reference sheet I did for my fursona and commented: http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm177/Loveless_Neko3/reffsheetalltogether.jpg I put him on my blacklist then. He's the first and hopefully the last. June 22nd, he came to my page and apologized. I accepted, and he then asked what being on the blacklist is (I only have a small portion of this, as shouts got bumped off): http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm177/Loveless_Neko3/askingaboutblacklist.png Then, on June 28th, he came back to my page and asked to get off the blacklist again: http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm177/Loveless_Neko3/askingtobeoffblacklist.png I replied "No.", but he wiped his shouts before I could grab it. But at this point I was more than fed up with his whining. Today, July 3rd, I posted a journal opening up my pantsu icons again. He came in, whining about how he wanted one but he was on the blacklist. Then he tried to get someone to commission me for him, which I did not want: http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm177/Loveless_Neko3/pantsujournalcomments.jpg He sent me a note, and well...Here's the notes (long read): http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm177/Loveless_Neko3/notesalltogether.jpg After this I was absolutely stunned, and felt making an A_B post was necessary so other's wouldn't have trouble with him as well. But I was unaware of weather I had to have actual, money exchanging business to post him on here (I couldn't really find anything about it on here, sorry if it was somewhere and I didn't realize) so I made a journal on FA asking for advice. Here's how the journal basically went (black boxes used to hide screenames and conversations not relevant to the situation, also screenshot thanks to someone on FA. Journal is also deleted as of now, but I have un-censored screenshot still saved): http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/3254/questionaboutmakinganab.jpg And it ended there. He wiped his account, and I'm making this post. I hope people can watch out for him, because this was not the best experience.

This commissioner sent me notes on both accounts for both a furcadia portrait and a digital pinup of their character. I told them that ports are closed (Due to certain reasons I won't go in) and that the others are opened. She sent me 25.00 USD via PayPal on the 20th of May. After it was done, I posted it up on my tumblr account since I only posted up on my galleries on Saturdays only. It saves me the hassle. Around June 1st, I get this email from PayPal that the commissioner opened a claim to get their money back after I just finished it. As shown above, I sent a note asking why is she filing a claim, but didn't get an answer. So, I returned to give evidence to Paypal stating that I did what I was paid to, showed evidence and turned it in (gone now since they moved on with the claim.) since they are not going to respond to me immediately. I know they've read the email but said nothing or had given me an excuse. Today, I received an email from paypal that the credit card company took their money. In result of this, the chargeback settlement fee was 20.00, which left me 9.03 in the red (Which usually entails that I am in the negative.) I was very upset about this because I'm never in the negatives. I did call paypal about it and they are disputing it with the company on my behalf. They also put back the chargeback fee so I'm no longer in the negative. I've still yet to get a reason behind this and I've talked to a few other artists that have yet to be paid by this commissioner. I wanted to leave a forewarning about this person in particular because you might get conned out of your hard earned money. This has still yet to be resolved since I didn't get my money back for drawing this picture in particular. All screenshots are posted above. Actual name of commissioner has been removed. Mine has not. Update: Sadly, I got an email back regarding my dispute and it reads: "As you know, we have been using the information you provided to dispute a chargeback filed against the transaction detailed below. Despite our best efforts, the buyer's credit card company decided in favor of the buyer. Unfortunately, we do not control the outcome of the chargeback decision reached by the buyer's issuing bank in a credit card transaction. By accepting the terms of the PayPal User Agreement, you agreed to accept the decision of the issuing bank as final and legally binding for this type of dispute." So I didn't get my money back.

She didn't do it that night, or the following night like she said. I'm very patient with commissions, so I wasn't too fussed. Within a week, she had a sudden interest in animation and worked on "jumping icons", including giving out free ones to people who requested it at that time on Facebook. Still not a big issue. A month later she still knew I was on her to-do list, by tagging me in a Facebook post, and said she'd clear up her list. Still nothing. I tried to contact her through email (on April 17) and several other occasions via Facebook private message and on her Facebook wall, but she still never replied to me. Communication was extremely difficult. Poppy frequently posts about what she is doing, but something always seems to be broken whenever anyone wants to contact her. (see link 3) At one point, she had adjacent posts on Facebook: one saying "the best way to contact me is email", and the one next to it saying "My email is broken, I'm not receiving them." Roughly three months from the commission date, I hopped onto her stream and asked her to start my badge, which had turned into a "full body feral upgrade", which I'm not sure was really an upgrade. I think she only said yes because she thought I was a new commissioner and wanted the money coming in. (see link 2) She stopped at the sketch stage because she had to go to sleep, but refused to work on it any further until I attended another of her streams, which wasn't practical for me. Over a week passed and I asked for a refund on her Facebook wall, which wasn't replied to. Ultimately, she only finished my badge because a friend of mine reminded her in one of her streams to do it. I could accept a lot of the delays if she bothered to actually respond to her commissioners. The outright worst part for me was her constant complaining on Facebook about a fursuit commission of hers being delayed, and how the maker was accepting new commissions before her one - meanwhile, she was doing the same thing to a throng of her own commissioners without remorse.

Two weeks went by and I check to see how things were coming, she hadn't started on it yet but promises to start on it within the week. A full month goes by and I check in again on the 1st of April and she claims she couldn't work on it since she just got the internet back, but she'll be finishing it that week. Mid April she claims to have my commission done. Nothing. She then starts to say its her medication that she can't draw, along with artist block. At the end of April I finally get a WIP and it'll be done that night. After that she starts working on "other projects" including a comic and something to do with voice acting, so again, commissions are delayed. Almost the entire month of May goes by and not a word. The 20th rolls around and still "almost finished" and she's "working on it now" 4 days later and she "loses all her recent progress" because her program crashed and she didn't save. On the 8th of this month she says she's working on it again. Here we are week days later and she's been doing $1 stream sketches, working on animated icons and I'm still waiting. I'm a pretty patient guy, but over 4 months for a $15 dollar sketch? Yeah I'm getting pretty fed up. It sounds like its a case of taking too much on at once. If she didn't handle commissions like this I'd commission her more. RESOLVED!: I received both a refund and the art commissioned!

WHEN: In around March last year I asked Akemi to make me a tail at a local coffee meet and paid her in cash. I told her the details and showed references from my FA page. I asked if it could be done by FurDU, a convention on the Gold Coast in Australia, which was at the end of April. She agreed that she could have it done by that time. I didn't ask her about it for some time even after the deadline passed, nor did I have any contact from her about it, I'm quite a patient person. I was the first to initiate contact again via PM in May of last year at which time she stated she had received the wrong fur and offered me a refund, which I accepted. She said it would be in my account the following Wednesday but then sent a PM almost a week later saying that she couldn't pay. I said that it was fine and I understood. There was no further contact on this matter until November last year when I again asked about my refund, this time over FA notes. She said she couldn't pay me because she had to put it towards bond and only gets paid fortnightly but would pay me the next time she was paid. I said I would contact her in a week but I didn't feel comfortable, I was following her journals at the time about her moving and I felt that if I contacted her again I would just get another run around. Finally in March this year I told her not to worry about the refund, I had seen her journals about needing surgery so I thought it might help her out and I didn't feel like flogging a dead horse any longer. PROOF: EXPLAIN: I did resolve this issue I suppose, by giving up (never got a note back after that final one btw although it was read). It was annoying that she owed me money but was taking commissions, selling suits, working and BUYING commissions (and a new Artslave suit recently?) but didn't have $30 to pay me.

She made a poll asking for more trades in March, and I as well as another user commented stating that we have been waiting awhile for our trades. She said that she was busy with university, which I would completely understand if she wasn't taking requests and finishing them in a matter of days/weeks, as well as more art trades that she has finished quite quickly. My note to her: http://i47.tinypic.com/zlb329.png Her response: http://i48.tinypic.com/29a7u0.png She says that I am "hassling" her even though I have only contacted her less than 5 times about the trade since we set it up almost 2 years ago, and once to let her know I had switched accounts. I do not mind waiting years for a trade, or any amount of time really. But she has been rude to me in her latest response, and has been completing many other things during this time period. When we first set up our trade she was not attending university, and had plenty of time to complete it before she had gone, and obviously has extra time to complete it even now since she has been taking many other requests and trades. She is also holding a contest with some pretty hefty art prizes, as in full pieces and such. Overall I am very disappointed and stressed over this situation. I'm also concerned that I may have been pushy without meaning to be, and if anyone here thinks that I was at any point out of line, I would very much like it if you told me so. EDIT: She finished her half of the trade, and I am very disappointed. It seems very rushed to me? Here it is: http://sxmie.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d53b61m And a re-upload: http://i45.tinypic.com/2h375uf.png Compared to the requests she has been taking, this looks pretty poor. I would have gladly waited longer for something even like some of the requests she's been taking, honestly. I just asked for progress from her, not to rush through her half. She also made a journal that has left a bad taste in my mouth. It just seems very passive aggressive. It can be seen here: http://my.deviantart.com/messages/#/d53b6cb And a screengrab: http://i45.tinypic.com/2a95heg.png This is less about how long she takes one some trades an more about her attitude, I suppose. She had been known for drama in the past, but I thought she'd gotten her act together. I guess I was wrong. I don't pressure folks to turn the art over, but I waited a year before I contacted her the first time, and that was because she made a Journal on FA updating everyone that had commissioned her of their place in line. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1953643/ PROOF: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/nanook123/badgecommission.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/nanook123/badgeconvo.jpg EXPLAIN: Well, 2 years ago, I commissioned a couple of icons from Vani and she turned them around pretty quickly. Soon thereafter we agreed to a trade, in time for AC 2010. I performed my part of the trade as outlined in my evidence image entitled "badge convo". The link to my part is here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4020610/ In her reply she mentions finishing my part before she leaves for AC that year. I was simply happy to get a piece from an artist who's art I admired. Then she made a post on June 21st 2010 http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1494591/ for a round of badges before AC. I noted her as referenced in my proof called "Badge Commission". I sent payment of 46$ and set to waiting patiently like everyone else. As an artist myself I don't make a habit of pushing another artist for work. I like everyone else had just kept quiet, even as Vani made post after post fretting about not having enough money to live on. I waited even as she took on more commissions from others. Even as she went from Con to con, making money off of other people, producing art and posting it on her blog, on her art sites and twitter. I clammed up afraid to speak up. I didn't want her legion of fans to come and get me. I didn't want to create drama. Like others who have posted here, I'm tired of that. It's not about the money now. That money is thrown away, it's gone. It's about the principal. Well, in March I decided to speak up. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/nanook123/emailcheckin.jpg I emailed her to ask for a status. To this day I haven't gotten an email back. Part of me never really expected to. If she had any intention of doing the work, she would have shown at least a sketch or something by now. Finally I got fed up this week and made an inquiry to her on her Tumblr Page. To my surprise she replied with the attached... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/nanook123/tumblrmessage.jpg Her reply left me a little stunned. I mean, she literally has no intention of finishing any of the work she took from those on FA. I can tell it just by the way she's speaking. Just based on the badge commissions she took, basing them at about 40$ a piece, she made close to 800$ off of us. So after reading her reply, I sent her another message outlined below: "I appreciate the reply, and sadly I fully expected the answer I got. I'm very disappointed. I know you're a college student with a lot on your plate, but your commission list is 8 miles long. You made a commitment to all those people that you would draw them something if they gave you money. You made a commitment to those who drew for you in exchange for a piece back. You haven't even so much as done a sketch, but you're so happy to fill your blog with drawings daily. Instead of doing that you could do a commission a day until you're caught up. You know...if you'd just given me a sketch of the things you owed me, I would have been more than happy to call my debt paid and colored the dang things myself. You didn't even try. I don't think it's fair for you to say that you're going to a con to earn money to live on when you've already lived on the money that you got from every single person on your commission list. You've already spent that money and even if every single one of them demanded their money back, there's no way they'd ever get it. Your answer to me is a cop out. You're more than willing to draw at a con or doodle on your blog, but for people on the internet you're just leaving them on the back burner with no idea when you'll actually get to it. I'm very sorry you're in whatever situation you're in at school/home, but you made commitments to ALL of the people you took money from. So I guess consider the art I gave you a gift and consider the money I gave you a donation. I still really enjoy your art, but it isn't worth continuing to wait and hope for anymore. Best of luck to you, Trish" So the purpose of my post here is to help others be warned before commissioning her online or at a con. Her art is pretty, well done and balanced. I really enjoy the style, but it's not worth the headache. 2 years have gone by. I don't think I'll ever see the pieces I commissioned from her. I don't want the money back. I want what I paid for. Even if she did it now, it would feel forced. I don't trust her to do what she says she'll do and neither should anyone else. So, Please, don't mark it resolved, because short of a public apology to everyone she owes stuff to, there isn't much else she can do for me. Please mark it as warning. She owes 54 people plus 5 trades. I somehow doubt she'll ever do it. Even if each of these commissions was a single character at $40 that's over 2000$ she's made off of a community that trusted she had changed. I don't want anyone else to make that mistake.

I returned her refund, as they look fantastic, and again, she was very pleasant. I've been a bit iffy about posting this for several days now, but my jimmies are rustled, and not quite sure how to proceed. I feel bad about doing this, as I KNOW the artist has been going through rough times, so I apologize, I've just no idea whats going on with my commissions, and repeated attempts to find out have been ignored. WHO: VellaCRaptor WHERE: http://vellacraptor.deviantart.com/ and http://vellacraptor.livejournal.com/ are the accounts I was able to get in contact with her through. WHAT: Two small portrait commissions totally $4 I believe, offered via TeenyCom (http://teenycom.livejournal.com/1063202.html) WHEN: Ongoing since early October of last year. PROOF: Initial transaction made in the comments of her TeenyCom post. I'd been having issues with PayPal, so asked for confirmation via notes to be sure she got my payment. When she did not respond, I asked again, and was finally sure it had cleared into her account. EXPLAIN: When Vella offered small commissions to be done in between her larger ones, I fully expected a wait, and was completely okay with that. Her art is adorable, and I was so excited~ But as the months ticked by with no word at all, I decided to dredge up the post and see if anyone else had gotten their art. A few here and there had, but took me a bit to actually find out what the issue had been. Okie Dokie, seems her computer crashed. Bad things like that happen, I wasn't at all upset, though I had wished she had told us that there would be some form of delay or issue. Vella gets an Artists_Beware post sometime after this I believe, where she states that she rarely checks LiveJournal anymore. It was now early April, and I still haven't heard word, so I shoot her a note via FurAffinity, which goes unread: Normally I would have waited a bit longer before trying again, but hadn't heard from her in so long, I figured I'd go ahead and shoot her an email as well, my reasoning being that if she had stopped checking FA as well, I'd be silly for me to try that as my only means of communication. And again, my email goes unanswered: I sit around for a few weeks, before finally realizing she has a DeviantArt. I shoot her a note, and finally, a response! Just.. telling me that yes, she'll still do them. I'm missing a note where I get excited and thank her for her response, but after several days of nothing once again, I ask for a possible date she might be finished with them. And once more, this note goes unread. (please remember to read DA notes bottom to top!): Aaaaaaaand then nothing. I can see her popping on and off DA multiple times a day, so to be ignored feels pretty bad. Finally, I decide that $4 isn't worth this sort of aggravation, and ask for a refund. It gets read, but no response. I send another note, and I apologize to both AB and the artist if I got snippy, I've never been in a situation like this before, and was getting pretty fed up with the lack of communication. As soon as I send this one, I get a response, with nothing more than 'I thought you already got yours'. Okay, maybe I was a dick and had. I go back and check all y accounts, and nope, no response from her in any of them. I tell her this, and as of today (May 19th), my note has still been unread. I'm at a loss. If my art has already been completed, then fantastic! Im okay with delays, Im just so frustrated with not having any idea whats going on. The only way I found out there was a problem at all was by drudging through her conversations with other commissioners in that TeenyCom post. I know shes been having issues IRL, but just a quick note to acknowledge that she at least remembers I'm on some list somewhere would have been fantastic. After seeing Vella's last A_B post, I had really hoped things would get better, it's been well past PayPal's refund date, so Im at a loss. Thanks all for your time and any suggestions!
  20. May. 11th, 2012 at 8:40 PM celestinaketzia Who: Tashumitsu (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/tashumitsu/) / Tani-Da-Inki (http://tani-da-inki.deviantart.com/) What: Sketch trade. When: I finished my part of the sketch trade in February of 2011. Explain/ Proof: I posted a journal on FA back in February asking if anyone was willing to do a trade for my boyfriend's character, Gabriel. I have since deleted it, but Tashumitsu replied saying they would be willing to do it. We exchanged info (mind you they already had what character I wanted), and I finished my piece shortly after. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5212952/ (SFW) And then I hear nothing from Tashumitsu until April when he shouted this journal on my page- http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2277883/ Ok, that's excellent. :) I thanked him and then proceed to wait a bit more. It's now August and I haven't even seen this half sketch, so I shoot him another note. http://taasla.net/silly/notetashu1.png Well, ok! That's good. You can see my response, but he never responded back to me whether or not he had started it, or if it was sitting half done. Silence. I waited and noted Tashumitsu on October 8th. I'll admit my note may not be polite, but I was kind of at a loss on what to tell him. http://taasla.net/silly/notetashu2.png That note didn't get responded to, but I did notice activity in his account. Frustrated, I sent him a note titled Last Contact. I can't seem to find the actual note anywhere, but I did say that unless they responded to me I would be going to A_B. They did respond saying they would get on it and asked me what A_B was. Accepting that, I responded back with the following note. http://taasla.net/silly/abcontact.png Shortly after this I got a job offer and had to ship out for training and moved shortly after. The whole thing slipped my mind until April-ish and I went over to their account. He had posted a journal asking for people they owed art to respond. I responded. http://taasla.net/silly/oowedart.png I heard nothing until today where another artist posted a journal asking for art trades. Now that I am calm, I regret posting in her journal (and if you're reading this, I apologize again for bringing that into your space). I should have noted them, but I was incredibly upset at this point. Tashu stated they wanted to trade with them meanwhile owing me for more than a year. That was the last straw and here I am. http://taasla.net/silly/finalstraw.png The artist's name has been edited out to protect their privacy. My comments were hidden by me as they don't need that on their journal. In short, don't trade with Tashu. You will be waiting a very long time with countless excuses. Edit: Fixed some flubs with Tashu's gender. :) If anyone spots any instances where I still refer to him as she, please let me know. While this was in queue, Tashu has delivered his half of the trade seen here. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7965448/
  21. May. 10th, 2012 at 1:33 PM red13nanaki WHO:AluminemSiren WHERE: FA WHAT: $25 Portrait Commission WHEN: October 27th 2011 PROOF: Journal Entry http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2853928/ Paypal Receipt http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/3028/co124wcol124maillivecom.jpg This is my first post here and I believe it has come to the point now where more attention needs to be brought to this. Because I am not the only one going through this situation. Back in October AluminemSiren had opened up for some more of his portrait commissions. I had liked his style so I had jumped at it since I was around when he put a journal up on it for a change. I ended up being one of the first people to comment in the journal, paid right after it and was on the actual list of people to be completed first. After some time he continued to add to the waiting list and also ended up opening up for more icon commissions for "new glasses money". I know how it is with art and I figured it was kind of an emergency so I never said anything. Though at one point I checked his portrait queue journal to see if it was updated at all or if maybe he updated mine and I somehow missed the sketch of the drawing. At which point I had noticed one of the new ones he was taking where he said he would have the sketch to them in a day or two. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2853928/#cid:23299249 Finally last month after waiting about six months for the drawing I started throwing him comments as to what was going on because he put up yet another journal for more icons because they "need something to do" and "won't have time for portraits." I had commented in that journal to try and get an answer from him and at the same time I sent him a note on it. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3373137/ He has since then hid my comment in the journal and replied to me afterword finally. Here is my note to him and the one I got back from him. http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/6375/wwwfuraffinitynetviewme.pnghttp://img716.imageshack.us/img716/6375/wwwfuraffinitynetviewme.png After which I had sent him a reply on a few things that I would like changed with the drawing. http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/6375/wwwfuraffinitynetviewme.png At this point I have yet to hear back from him again on anything and I had sent him another note asking for an update on the drawing and it is yet to be read. http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/6375/wwwfuraffinitynetviewme.png For as long as I've waited for this I don't want any kind of refund or anything like that. Especially since he has given me a quick sketch on the drawing. I just want to get the finished product from him and not have this drag along anymore. Update 5/27: He's commented on the actual post here, " Sorry, I haven't really replied to any of my notes since I came back out of town. I'm going through a really rough breakup, and been emotionally drained, maybe even depressed, and I've lost the motivation to do much of anything at the moment. I don't like to explain myself anymore because I think most people will think I'm just trying to think of the latest, greatest excuse to not work on my commissions, but I really have been an emotional wreck these past few weeks and it's killer on my motivation." He has yet to try updating anyone on his actual FA page, yet has been faving art and has shouted on one of this friend's pages. Update: 9/19/2012 I figured I would attempt to update my post here, though there really hasn't been much at all to update on. There really hasn't been much mention or updates to anyone's artwork except for this post months ago http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3560664/ and I never heard anything back as far as the changes on mine. Other than where he has the list at mine is marked as inking. I've also been hesitant on updating this or asking him for any sort of update because I didn't want to get any lash back from any of it. I've already received that when this was originally brought up and one of his friends took it upon themselves to start something on my page. http://imageshack.us/a/img694/706/screenshot213i.png The one thing that was discussed was even if he has no control over what his friends say or do it is bad business practices to have your friends run amok and cause problems while there are some problems that need to be dealt with. I would personally not shop at a place where the owners friends were allowed to act out and cause problems in the store while I was shopping there. As far as any of the comments making fun or joking about the "where's my art and such" there hasn't been anything else on that as far as I have seen. So that had finally stopped. Right now it's at a standstill again and don't know whether I should contact him again about the art or not. Update: 10/10/2012 He has been slowly working on the drawings once again. At first he was working down the list, but is not jumping around it again. Completing one of the commissions that is toward the bottom of the list that was taken a few months after the ones at the top. After he said in one of his journals he was going to group the commissions up and work down them in said groups. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3560664 He is also apparently going to jump to someone else's because they brought it up with him in a recent journal, but again they haven't been waiting as long as some others, but he is going to work on theirs first. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3911849/#cid:29141729 Update:12/20/2012 Back on October 17th he had posted a journal stating that after a break from attempting to catch up on his backlog he was going to jump back in and work on it again. Since then there has been no more progress and the only update he has posted on his profile was on November 2nd when he stated he had a Weasyl account. On December 5th I had shouted on his page asking for any kind of update on the drawing and it's gone completely ignored. Someone else asked as well on the 10th and it's gone ignored as well. He has been active on the account however because he has been watching new users. So he is once again avoiding the entire situation.
  22. May. 7th, 2012 at 9:55 PM wilhawk Last iFC, I wanted to get a badge from him. Something simple. He was doing sketches and badges of characters dressed up in Video Game attire. During my huge kick with Tales of Vesperia, I wanted my character dressed as Karol Kapel from Tales of Vesperia. WHO: Dariuskoopa or DMK WHERE: iFC 2011. WHAT: I commissioned him to make a badge of my character in person. WHEN: Ever since August of 2011 at last years iFC. I've noted him various times in regards to the progress an at least getting an email of the completed product. I saw him at MFF as well, and he told me that he would bring it, provided I noted him, which I did, and something else that I forgot to do. He doesn't send anything in the mail, due to past bad experiences. I've noted him countless times and he said that he has and would email it again, but I have yet to get any emails on it. PROOF: http://tinypic.com/r/eb1l5y/6 http://tinypic.com/r/r26a9y/6 http://tinypic.com/r/3539khv/6 http://tinypic.com/r/2cr2b9t/6 EXPLAIN: He's a friend of mine and I wanted to give him some business at the con, so I got a badge and heard he doesn't send stuff over the mail. Bad experiences and I can dig that. I mean, if something sucks enough, you find work arounds. I've been noting him since August of 2011 and I have been getting responces on it, and notes stating that it was emailed to me, yet I still haven't received it. He did a journal of people he still has to email stuff out to and to note him, which I did, and I still haven't gotten anything on it. Granted, it's been a couple months since I've last noted him because I'm getting tired, but still. The transactions were in person, so there is no receipt or anything of the like, sadly. I'd just like to see my work that I commissioned for.
  23. May. 1st, 2012 at 3:10 AM fenrirs_child WHO: Flarveon WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/flarveon/ but purchase happened on FursuitAuctions here on LJ WHAT: Fur purchase WHEN: Purchased March 9th/10th, Paypal forced refund went through yesterday. PROOF: Purchased from this posting: http://fursuitauctions.livejournal.com/2417221.html (post is too long to capture on my computer, but here is my purchase agreement http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/2488/tneonorange001129.png ) Paypal record (including forced refund) http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/9485/flarveonpaypalredacted.png EXPLAIN: I saw Flarveon's posting on FursuitAuctions for some neat furs from NZ, and I picked a few out and promptly sent payment. Initially, due to the large response, she said she would pick the furs up from the store on Thursday or Friday her time, and mail them out same day or Monday. I didn't hear anything back, so I sent her a message on LJ that I didn't receive a reply to, so I noted her on her FA on the 19th. I got a response back right away, saying she'd been delayed and she'd be going on Wednesday. http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/408/firstnotecolors.png (I am red, she is blue) I believe I went to note her after this time, and her profile said at the top not to note her, so I believe I made a shout instead. I can't seem to find my screencap of the shouts I made though. Well, after I did that she made another posting on fursuitauctions updating everyone that she would be going on Monday http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/7953/fursuitauctions001241.png <-second from bottom post). I didn't hear anything from her, so I commented on that post on the 27th asking for an update. That went ignored. http://fursuitauctions.livejournal.com/2435651.html#comments I also made a shout on her page. I don't have her page, but I do have the reply shouts she made on mine from my control panel http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/1616/usercontrolpanelfuraffi.png So, she said she picked them up, and couldn't get to the post office. Well, didn't hear anything again, so I believe I made another shout, which prompted her to make another post on Fursuitauctions she's going to pick it up on Wednesday http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/7953/fursuitauctions001241.png top post I commented on that post on the 10th asking for an update, no response. On the 11th, I got some shouts saying she had gone to pick up the fur, but there was an earthquake, so she would refund instead and was transferring money to her paypal (as seen in above link of shouts). I didn't hear anything for a few days, and it came to the end of the window for dispute, so I filed for it and sent the rest of the people who had purchased furs on that post a heads up that the dispute window was closing. After myself and another person filed our disputes, she posted this on FursuitAuctions http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/5968/fursuitauctions024900.png so I noted her http://img576.imageshack.us/img576/5913/flarveonnotecolors.png (I'm red, she's blue). She says she will respond asap, but this is the last communication I received at all from her. I gave the dispute 4 days for a response, and I know she had internet because she commented on plenty of stuff in the meantime. I escalated the dispute to a claim, and at no point during the ten day period for seller response did she respond, so Paypal pushed my refund through. I'm grateful for that at least, but this whole ordeal was unpleasant to say the least. Any sort of update had to be prompted by me, sometimes through several methods of communication. I got told at least three different stories about the fur being picked up when it hadn't been, and by not responding in any way to the dispute/claim she made this drag out as long as possible. I'm sympathetic to the earthquake situation, but it has to be said if she had gone and done this at any point in the preceding month (what was it, three times she had said she'd go, or four?) the earthquake would have had no bearing on this transaction whatsoever.
  24. Apr. 24th, 2012 at 9:21 PM pumpkin314 WHO: Stellary/Absinthe aka Inky/Stellary on Chatlands WHERE: main base: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/absinthe, commission transactions took place on TheTotemLands (prior to closing) and on Serenity Isles WHAT: 2 "poses" from TTL ($8 each [edit, my email says $6 was sent for the one pose which was completed, but I believe the other two were considered $8 as the ref was $20, if I remember correctly]) and 3 poses on Serenity ($13) each; one owed TTL pose completed WHEN: Commission began around June 2009 PROOF: Original emails (TTL): Commission on Serenity: Note asking for a refund: Recent emails asking for an update/refund: Recent PM on wolfhome asking for information: Unfortunately I have no paypal screenshots of the transaction as the account I used to pay has since been closed, however I would assume that her replying she had received payment should be enough proof on my end. EXPLAIN: Back in 2009 I commissioned Inky for a refsheet of my character, however I changed it from a ref to 2 chat poses (and got a third pose later which was completed) and told her to keep the extra (as seen in first email) [also this proof is lost as TTL has been closed and I never thought to get screenshots of these PMs]. This art was never completed and I lost contact with her. In 2011 she posted a topic to sell poses again on the chat SerenityIsles and I contacted her then about the owed art and was interested in getting some new commissions. One of the owed poses was completed and that was all. Later in the year I attempted to contact her as she had posted another topic selling custom chat poses. At this point she said she would probably no longer do poses but could instead offer me another type of art in place of these poses. Unfortunately, life got the best of me and I was unable to reply for a few more months, this is my fault completely and not a lack of communication on her part. However, I emailed her again almost two weeks ago without response. A few days after sending the most recent email I forwarded it again to her. Tonight (4/24) I tried to send her a private message on another chatlands forum she was taking commissions on. She has read the message but has yet to respond. EDIT: Finally got a response from her. I sent her a second PM on the forum she is actively making poses on and got a response. Private Messages: For the record here is the previously mentioned email about being "banned": I will accept blame for the email not being sent immediately. I had written it up and attempted to send it from my school wifi on my phone but must have left the wifi zone and caused it to wait in my outbox until I was back home and using stable wifi. The choice to keep her from selling on Serenity was not only my choice, as stated in my replies, but the choice of several team members giving their input and opinions on the matter. She had taken not only my money but the money of other users on Serenity and they were, luckily, refunded. And I managed to dig out the transaction in my paypal history: And her topic on the Wolfhome forums actively selling poses: I was honestly shocked that she was treating me so unprofessionally because of a grudge about a supposed ban on her account on the chat I manage. Whether I had banned her or not I would hope that she would be able to treat me respectably and professionally as this is a business transaction between two people, when money is involved there should be no room for grudges. EDIT 2: Taking on more commissions: Recent journal about how little she cares (yet needs to make a spectacle of not caring): http://screencast.com/t/Qhjj8g7805 http://screencast.com/t/D1Pixolf (no time for art but still managing to complete her own personal art as well as premade characters) Art she has completed recently: Sketch of ref sheet: http://screencast.com/t/7KUk7Q6hG5v Completed ref sheet (finished within 24 hours): http://screencast.com/t/bYzwDyIvZP Premade "hell hound" sales: Topic posted: http://screencast.com/t/gC2ppMqURLM Final bid: http://screencast.com/t/AkIa3INBQQ She claims to have no time to draw due to her work schedule, but she is able to create sketches for herself and even had the time to finish a ref sheet. Since taking the pose commissions on WolfHome she has completed one and has created several poses for herself (here are two of these: http://screencast.com/t/t6t2hmk7No8). She has also been able to make and sell premade characters (I know not too much work goes into these but still she could use the time to work on commissions). She went and made a journal about how little she cares about being posted here, which shows she will most likely never change her ways as she does not care about her reputation or how others view her. I'm giving a short break between my last PM to her and my next one, so she can not say I have not been patient. EDIT 3: More comments from her "I don't care" journal: http://screencast.com/t/PhCTc802oN She's posted a journal asking people to leave a comment in order to receive a refund. Oddly enough, this is exactly what happened with me last time and she ended up not refunding me anyway. Here's the journal: http://screencast.com/t/sAppy7EcpAD I also don't feel like I should have to comment on her journal just to remind her of what she owes me when I told her less than a week ago. Will keep this updated as it all unfolds!
  25. Apr. 18th, 2012 at 5:08 AM anime_amy Hello everyone. I wanted to bring attention to an artist and see if anyone else has had any issues with Sarcy - FA is http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sarcy . My husband and I had gotten to know her and her husband at AC 2010. She posted a journal that they were in a bit of a financial crunch and would be doing full sketchbook commissions for $150 to be filled over the course of a month. My husband wanted to help them out, so we commissioned her for a sketchbook. This was on August 30th, 2010. We sent payment that same day. Initially all was well; we received updates and saw a few sketches that were in the book over the next few months (the sketches that she showed for progress I can no longer find in her gallery). Our last communication through notes with Sarcy was on March 30th, 2011, where she stated that she didn't think that she could finish it and offered us a full refund, which she could pay off in it. My husband had talked with her husband multiple times over instant messaging, and we had been in several of her streams, and understood that they were going through some rough times at that point, too. We responded to her, letting her know that we did want to pay her for the work that she had done, and even if she didn't want to finish it, that we'd still like to have the art that she did do, and offered that if she wanted to pay us a partial amount (that we never settled on) we'd be more than willing to do that. Her response was that she was having some personal issues, and never really addressed whether she would refund us the partial amount, or full amount, or how we should proceed. The last communication we had with her was on a journal that I had posted before our wedding looking for some wedding-themed commissions; She replied to it, and said that if we wanted, she would do a commission in exchange for knocking off some of the money that she owed us for the sketchbook (which we hadn't seen any money from at all). We have not heard anything more from her at this point, and wanted to make other commissioners aware of our situation, as well as see if there are any other people that are in a similar situation as us. *UPDATE* I wanted to post a follow up to this, I just received a note from Sarcy stating that she was going to be paying us back. Will update this once payments start being made.
